A vibrant and pro-development London borough council is searching for an accomplished Principal Planning Officer to join them on a rolling contract.

This particular post is sat within the Councils Majors team, the client is looking for a Principal Planning Officer with a proven track record of dealing with complex large scale developments and who is also able to sign off delegated reports.

Located in a prime regnerational growth area, this role will provide an unprecedented opportunity to deliver highly original new development through the planning system such as multi-storey towers, modular buildings and residential led mixed use schemes.

Key responsibilities include;
- Negotiate complex S106 agreements in conjunction with discharging conditions and finalising reserved matters.
- Draft detailed delegated reports and present at committee
- Conduct member briefings, engage with regeneration teams and consult with local community groups
- Liaise and work closely with external bodies including the GLA and TFL etc.
