Prepare, cook and serve meals, snacks, and desserts in accordance with the set menus. To include: breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks and supper, preparation and service.
- Prepare cakes and other 'special' items when required.
- Work with the team to plan menus within the designated budget, and ensure they meet the dietary needs of all our residents.
- Complete kitchen paperwork, in line with food hygiene standards
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of, and comply with food hygiene regulations.
- Be responsible for the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, food store, fridges and freezers.
- Manage stock levels, check the quality and quantity of received goods, and oversee stock rotation.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate clothing (free uniform supplied).
- Supervise other staff assisting in the kitchen.
- Report to maintenance/manager of any items in need of repair.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, to enhance kitchen services.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 36 per week
