A bit about the job:
This role forms part of the Wealth Investments Transitions team who handle activity across our key platforms: NGP, My Money and Unisure.

The Pension Transition Consultant will be a deputy for the Transition Manager and will support the Transition Manager with particularly sophisticated transitions as well as leading on the delivery of your own asset transition cases. Operating in a risk-controlled environment, you will strive to achieve efficient transitions for scheme members, trustees, sponsoring employers, and advisers. This will involve confidently engaging with key collaborators, both internally and externally.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Excellent project management and organisational skills with experience in managing multiple projects, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to prioritise when working under pressure- Familiarity with transition management methods (In-Specie, Re-Registration, Unit Exchange, etc.) and their development within the market. Knowledge of DC fund structures and broader investment markets is essential. Additionally, a good understanding of insured Funds, unit pricing, and their relationship with underlying assets- Strong analytical and numerical skills (crucial) for effective problem-solving. You should be able to identify and develop flexible, innovative solutions- Ability to communicate effectively with various collaborators, including employers, advisers, trustees, investment managers, and employees. You must be capable of clearly articulating the goals, timeline, and complexities of the transition, as well as the associated risks, to both internal and external collaborators. Furthermore, you should be able to identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans for unexpected events- Strong understanding of the UK corporate pensions market and its evolution. An understanding of Corporate Pension investment propositions would be advantageous
