**Team Leader**
We are currently looking to recruit a Team Leader to start the creation of a complex care team for a young gentleman who is going to be transitioning into his own home within the future.
This role is for a full-time position
- starting off working alongside the day centre staff and family to learn about the clients’ requirements and ways of living.
The client currently lives at home with his Mum and Dad in Solihull, West Midlands He has Autism, sensory processing challenges and a diagnosis of Epilepsy.
The client has now successfully transitioned into a day service for the last 2 years as part of an EHCP funded provision.
For the client to be well supported, and whilst he has 24 hour paid help, a dedicated team leader is integral to success. It would be beneficial for the team leader to be recruited with the client and his family’s involvement and to work alongside this younggentleman as well as having some dedicated management hours so that they know what is going on day to day and form a good relationship with him. The team leader will be the link between Client, his family, the team and others helping him professionally orotherwise. There may also be the need for other team members to be given tasks within the team and to step-up when the team leader is not there.
**The team leader’s role should be to**:

- Be in close contact with Client and the team members who are working with him every day
- Lead by example i.e., respecting the clients’ decisions on his home and ensuring it does not turn into a work place
- Be the first contact for any other person involved with client in relation to his support (mental/physical health, housing, benefits etc.)
- Be creative in involving him in decisions and meetings
- Organise the team rota to make the most effective use of the different skills and expertise of the team members, and ensure client is supported at all times, including emergencies, sickness and holidays
- Keep Life Plan and Support Plan up to date
- Ensure the client is helped to make decisions and take control of his life and team
- Provide support/supervision to team members
- Provide on-call with other members of the team
- Drivers are an integral part of the package of care, the rota should ensure his is covered as Client doesn’t use public transport
- Have good communication levels with HCD - ensuring that rotas, timesheets etc are sent in on time for auditing and on call purposes.
- Ensure that any changes that are made; HCD are informed.

- Responsive, intuitive and sensitive to the clients’ feelings, emotions and what might make him anxious
- Flexible towards their job; willing to change approach, change working patterns and take clients away for a break if needed
- Willing to learn new things, and not believe they know everything already
**Location**: Solihull
**Contract type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time hours to meet the client needs.
**Salary**: £15 Per hour
