**NMR Specialist**

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday. Flexible working hours.

**The Role**

Working as part of the Analytical team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for performing, monitoring and accepting accountabilities for all assigned NMR duties related to specific chemistry and/or analytical projects. This may involve method development & validation, release testing and stability testing.

You will be responsible for providing a reliable and efficient NMR service for Almac Sciences, including the servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting of Bruker NMR instruments within a GMP environment. You will provide advice to NMR users on available experiments and interpret the resulting data. You will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the advancement in NMR instrumentation and techniques and champion the use of suitable new technologies within Almac.

Training in our GMP procedures will be provided and you will be responsible for ensuring that all analyses and associated tasks are performed in accordance with Almac Sciences quality policies and procedures.

**Essential Criteria**
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Analytical / Chemistry, or closely related discipline. _Significant, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of academic qualifications._
- Demonstrated hands on experience in NMR in an industrial or academic environment
- Experience of NMR analysis of peptides and biologics and/or small molecules
- Experience in the design of advanced NMR experiments and interpretation of the resulting data

**Desirable Criteria**

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)
- PhD level qualification (or equivalent) in NMR.
- Experience of Method Development
- Working knowledge of multiple laboratory techniques and ability to trouble shoot.
- Experience in the provision of NMR support to organic chemists.
- Previous relevant industrial experience in a GMP/GLP environment.
- Previous experience within a supervisory role.
- Experience of method validation.
- Experience performing investigations and root cause analysis
