**About the role**

As a Student Participation Officer, you'll play a vital role in developing, promoting, and delivering activities that enhance character, skills, attitudes, and confidence across our Sunderland and Hartlepool campuses and within the community. You'll be the advocate for student voices, encouraging their active participation in a wide range of activities and representative bodies.

Your responsibilities will include creating safe and welcoming environments, fostering social relationships, and promoting reasonable standards of behaviour among students. You'll collaborate with students to establish and maintain student councils, ensuring their views shape the provision for all students. You'll also contribute to the planning and delivery of exciting events and projects that enhance the student experience

**About you**

To succeed in this role, you'll need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build excellent relationships at all levels. Your creativity and innovation will be crucial in developing engaging activities that meet the needs of our students. Additionally, your knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion will help create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued.

Ideally, you'll have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with experience in student engagement or related roles. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential in delivering training, producing reports, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
