**Job Title: 1 - 1 SEMH Tutor/ Teaching Assistant**

**Location: Horncastle and Heckington, Lincolnshire**

**Pay Rate: £15 - £25 Per Hour**

**Contract: Part-time, Flexible, up to 6 hours per day + Travel**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.**

Leader Education is working in partnership with an independent SEN schools based in Lincolnshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tutor/Teaching Assistant to deliver education in young people's homes.

Our aim is to recruit a Tutor/Teaching Assistant to ensure the delivery of education in a pupils home. The school has pupils aged 11-16 that are all identified as having SEMH needs and learning difficulties, which for one reason or another they have decidedthat learning from home is the best case for the pupil.

**Job includes**:

- Provide 1-1 support for pupils in their home.
- Being organised with planning and preparation E.G resources and equipment
- Ideally you will see 2/3 pupils per day for 2 hours at a time and enough time to travel to the next pupil's home.
- Support pupils in completing work and assignments.
- Keep a record of the progress the pupils make as well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording information on Individual Education Plans

**What we are looking for**:

- You must be an experienced classroom support assistant with a good level of experience of working with students that are identified as having SEMH needs, learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
- Good understanding of Maths, English and Science up to level 2
- Be patient and resilient.
- Be creative and make learning fun and suitable for each pupil.
- Excellent communication skills
- Have a therapeutic and holistic approach.
- Being open minded with how the process works as this is a new aspect for us and the school.
- Must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
