**Technical Sales Manager | North of England and Scotland | 80% field based, 20% home based | Competitive package depending upon experience (£60,000 OTE, benefits, car, pension)**

Gema UK is a sales and service support business for Gema Europe, a world leading manufacturer of electrostatic powder coating systems and associated equipment.

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will report directly to the UK General Manager. You will be responsible for managing existing and developing new business opportunities across multiple manufacturing segments as well as supporting the development of ourdistribution channels.

Focussing on the sales of the high-value capital equipment solutions, new systems and retrofit upgrades within the defined UK territory (North of England and Scotland).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established market leader, with extensive travel predominantly across the defined territory, and occasional European travel predominantly to Switzerland.

**Are you the right person for us?**
- Experience in capital equipment sales would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience conducting a solution sales process selling into engineering markets such as; automotive, aerospace, HVAC, heavy equipment, general industry, sheet metal fabrication, architectural equipment, construction products
- Strong desire to learn about the technical aspects of the product range
- Experience in proposal preparation and quotation generation desirable
- Experience with long sales cycle desirable
- Ability to understand technical products and effectively present them to customers and management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including facilitation, verbal, and written skills
- Self-starter, hands-on, self-motivated, ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- High energy, organised with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in de-centralised teams maintaining a high level of communication and interaction
- Computer literate including Office and Excel skills
- Experience with CRM systems would be beneficial
- HNC, HND, Degree in Engineering is preferred, but equivalent industry experience will also be considered

**What will your role as a Technical Sales Manager look like?**
- Work closely and collaboratively with the UK General Manager to identify and secure capital equipment sales across the defined territory, project value range between £20k - £1.5m
- Grow the market footprint of the Gema Electrostatic equipment and systems within the specified territory, developing new and existing customers
- Gain an excellent understanding of the product range, features and benefits, and sales arguments to support personal credibility
- Support marketing initiatives
- Develops strong relationships with internal stakeholders including the project manager, engineering team, customer service and technical support to ensure that we are maximising on opportunities and executing successful sales activities
