Our very well established client are currently looking to recruit a fully qualified and experienced HGV Technician for their Salford depot. They specialise in commercial vehicle rental with fully equipped maintenance workshops in the North and South ofEngland.
The role of HGV Technician will involve being responsible for carrying out inspection and service routines and repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner. The HGV Mechanic will be reporting to the Workshop Manager and will be able toinvestigate and diagnose faults, report findings and be able to carry out all repairs to the current manufacturers’ standards.
You must hold relevant HGV Mechanical Qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
It would be highly advantageous for you to possess these skills:
Knowledge of cranes or hydraulics
Experience working on tippers, tipper grabs or beaver tails
Knowledge of latest diagnostic systems
Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) HGV License (Car License Holders will also be considered)
We are looking for a team player to fill the role and someone who will be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines. You must have previous HGV technical experience and can adopt a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role to ensure continued high levelsof work are carried out right first time. Only motivated, experienced and reliable HGV Technicians should apply.
Additional Info:
16 days holiday incl. bank holidays - Holidays will increase with length of service
Contributory pension scheme, effectively immediately
Death in Service pay-out: two times annual salary after 12 months probationary period
Standard rate is £21.00 per hour
O/T rate is £31.50 per hour
Monday to Thursday
Working 8:30 pm to 7:00 am (10 paid hours with 30 mins unpaid break)
