We are looking for a Full Time Night Porter to join our team.

8 hours shifts 11pm to 7am, 5 days a week including weekends

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & DUTIES**

**1. **Carry out reception duties including the use of telephone systems and IT systems in line with hotel policy.

**2. **Conduct at least three nightly checks of fire doors, exit points and record on walk around sheets. To keep all records safe and to hand.

**3. **Serve guests at the bar in line with the no cash policy after 11pm week days and 12pm weekends. Make sure the bar is left clean and tidy.

**4. **Use kitchen facilities outlined for preparation and production of 24hour services on offer. Making sure you leave a clean workspace.

**5. **Ensure the security of the hotel throughout the night.

**6. **Ensure building security throughout the night.

**7. **Recording and reporting of incidents or issues directly to your line manager.

**8. **On a monthly basis check on the status of bedroom keys and spares, reporting missing keys or abnormalities to the front office manager.

**9. **Ensure toilet facilities are of a high standard for the night shift i.e. toilet rolls are topped up and fresh hand towels are provided. Loos are of presentable standard.

**10. **Public areas are clean and tidy including the gardens. Hoover the PA’s and restaurant ready for the morning shift.

**11. **Clear room service trays from corridor in the night.

**12. **Ensure all glasses and cutlery are polished.

**13. **Empty and clean the ash trays in the night.

**14. **Set and prepare for any conference and events the following day to the expected standard.

**15. **Complete any jobs left by the duty manager on handover.

**16. **Prepare breakfast items in the morning ready for service.
The night shift operates from 11pm through to 7am. The position is for 32 hours on varying nights dependent on business.
