**About the Post**

The post holder will also be expected to conduct research aligned with the University’s strategic priorities and engage in public outreach and recruitment activities.

**About the Team**

The Life Science team is based within the School of Health, Sciences and Society, and delivers degrees in Biology, Biomedical Science, Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation Science, and Nutrition and Human Health. Located at the University’s waterfront campus, the Life Science area has modern well-equipped laboratories with dedicated cell culture and microscopy facilities and is in close proximity to a range of diverse habitats for ecological and environmental research. Core research themes within the Life Science area include cell and developmental biology, regenerative medicine, microbial genetics, healthy eating, functional foods, spatial ecology, and conservation.

**About You**

Applicants should have a record of publishing in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and have a strong scientific background in one or more of the core areas within the Life Sciences.
