**Overview**
We are looking for a highly motivated youth work practitioner to join our Transition Services Team.

Our Transition Services team support autistic young people (and those awaiting diagnosis), aged 14-24 years to access our three projects:

- Engage: Providing social opportunities, both in our centre and in our wider community and delivering specific programmes to develop confidence and independence on a wide range of topics, such as, understanding autism, supporting anxiety, managing relationships, independent travel, digital skills, transitions to college-Enterprise: Supporting 14-16-year-olds through our Club:DIVERSITY and Create:DIVERSITY programmes-Employability: Supporting 16-25-year-olds to access our Ready to Work programmes, work experience opportunities and learning opportunities through SQA awards.

The role of Practitioner is to provide practical support to young people in the delivery of activities, ensuring a high-quality standard of services are provided, and will work across all three projects where required.

You will be an ambassador for Perth Autism Support, building relationships across the community to further our vision to support autistic children and young people to reach their full potential.

**Duties**
- Build relationships young people and families to support them to achieve their goals through our term time and holiday activity programmes
- Support delivery of programmes in our Perth Centre and on a rota basis within our outreach hubs of Pitlochry, Crieff, Blairgowrie, Kinross and Perth North locality
- Support delivery of programmes in community settings and with local employers
- Ensure all health and safety and organisation processes are followed during activities
- Promoting independence
- Working collaboratively with other service areas across the organisation
- Undertaking a range of administrative tasks to support practical work with children including but not limited to; updating files, monitoring individual plans, reporting on accidents and incidents and other regulatory requirements including Child Protection

**Skills**
- Practical, demonstrable experience working in a youth work setting, either voluntary or paid
- Experience/understanding of autism and working with individuals with lived experience
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a range of people
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to relate to young people
- IT skills - MS Office
- Happy to work flexibly in a small team
- Happy to work towards a range of practitioner qualifications in line with SSSC registration

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
