This post is based within Middlesbrough Council’s Community Learning Service and involves managing a team of staff delivering first steps learning and employability support to Middlesbrough and Tees Valley residents.

The successful applicant must be able to:

- Develop innovative teaching, learning and employability programmes for Tees Valley residents._
- Manage a multi-disciplined team of staff working at various locations throughout Middlesbrough._
- Support and monitor staff performance, compliance, development and quality, ensuring that all teaching and learning is good or better (Ofsted graded). _
- Manage subcontractor provision, including; putting service level agreements in place, overseeing payments, completing H&S visits, monitoring performance, quality, compliance, and addressing performance issues. _
- Regularly review the curriculum, ensuring that it’s fit for purpose, inclusive, meets the needs of Tees Valley learners and that it addresses the local authority's strategic priorities. _
- Represent the service at internal and external meetings, briefings, business networks and at learner recruitment and partnership events._
- Establish and develop professional working relationships with stakeholders._
- Demonstrate strong organisational, digital, creative and project and contract management skills._
