Night Porter

The Watermill Hotel is a charming and historic hotel nestled in the heart of Hemel Hempstead. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of service throughout the night.

**The Role**: As a Night Porter, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for the smooth and secure operation of the hotel during the night hours. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- **Guest Services**: Providing excellent customer service to guests, including late check-ins and early check-outs, and addressing any guest queries or issues.
- **Security**: Ensuring the security of the hotel premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to alarms or emergencies.
- **Front Desk Operations**: Handling administrative tasks such as preparing for the next day's arrivals, processing night audit reports, and managing reservations.
- **Hotel Preparation**: Assisting in setting up the restaurant for breakfast service, cleaning and sanitizing areas as required, and carrying out other light cleaning duties.
- **Maintenance**: Carrying out light cleaning duties, setting up meeting rooms, and assisting with any minor maintenance issues that may arise.
- **Reliable and Responsible**: You must be trustworthy and capable of working independently.
- **Customer-Focused**: You should have excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- **Flexible**: The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, is essential as per business requirements.
- **Residing in the UK**: You must currently be living in the UK.
- **Right to Work**: You must have the legal right to work in the UK, and this position does **not** offer visa sponsorship.
