**Main Roles**: To provide high quality sports coaching during and after school by assisting the head coach or PE teacher Improve competitive sports provision and attend and officiate fixtures when required Increase physical activity levels within the school Improve attitudes to PE, school sport and physical activity by creating whole school/target group initiatives. To assist the school in its day to day duties To complete the necessary work set through studying the NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership

- **Training to be provided**:
The Apprenticeship (Level 2/3 or 4) comprises of NVQ Level 2/3 or 4 In sports coaching,

Training Functional Skills Exam FA Level 1 Football Coaching Award (if not already obtained) In-House Multi-Sports Training

IMPORTANT: The apprentices will be required to complete a 4 week traineeship. During this time they will enroll and complete a statutory DBS Check as well as complete any formal training necessary (see above).

**Skills required**:

- Must be age 16 years or older
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy
- A knowledge of health and safety
- Enthusiastic
- A good time keeper
- Able to take instruction and willing to learn
- Safety conscious
- Physically fit
- Able to work on their own and as part of a team
- Able to travel independently to work at their own cost (car owner is desirable)
- Have previous experience of sports coaching
- Have previous experience of working with children
- A minimum of an NGB Level 1 in Sports Coaching (desirable)

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

Pay: From £6.40 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Market Harborough
