Our client is interested in recruiting temporary Staff Officers to join their team in the East Belfast location

**Job role** - Staff Officer

**Location** - East Belfast / home working

**Hours of work** - Monday - Friday 9am-5pm - 37 hours per week

**Starting **- ASAP

**Length of role** - initial period of 12 months

**Rate of pay** - £16.80 per hour

**Main duties**

Support head of branch and Director of Secondary Care in the development of NI healthcare policy/strategy in relation to high priority diagnostic services (including HSC imaging services, pathology/laboratory services, rare diseases, genomic medicine) to support health service recovery and transformation, through duties including:

- Establishment and coordination of Departmental oversight arrangements (steering groups, project boards, stakeholder engagement meetings);
- Represent DoH NI on relevant NI and UK policy groups;
- Monitor implementation of Departmental action plans by arm’s length bodies;
- Draft Ministerial policy briefing documents on behalf of head of branch/Director;
- Draft responses to Private Office correspondence/ Assembly Questions, media enquiries;
- Conduct policy research;
- Provide meeting secretariat;
- Stakeholder engagement.

**Essential Experience**
- Must have proof of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English Grades A-C or equivalent
- 3rd level Qualification
