A leading national house builder are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to work from their office in Leicester,East Midlands
The role:
The successful applicant will be purchasing and managing materials for 12 active sites, helping to ensure that costs are controlled and build programmes maintained. The Buying team have a key role within the Commercial Department in which you will assist aBuyer and a part time Assistant Buyer to schedule materials, raise orders, produce cost analyses and expedite deliveries.

A National Housebuilder who build 14,500 houses annually across the UK. They are one of the UK's most successful house builders.
Founded over 45 years ago with over 28 regional operating businesses building sites from Scotland through to the South West of England.
The Person:
Qualifications/Experience GCSE/A Level or suitable qualifications are required and you will of course have an excellent level of computer literacy. Training in COINS Construction software will be provided. Experience of house building and proven buying experiencein a multi-site environment would be advantageous. Skills The successful applicant will be a proactive and well organised, self motivated individual and possess good communication skills for this fast paced environment. They are looking for a strong team playerwho will take on real responsibility within the Department and who is keen to progress their career with one of the UK's leading house builders.
It is likely you will have previously worked as either an Assistant Buyer,Trainee Buyer, Junior Buyer or in a purchasing role in a similar house building environment.
