A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lab Technician with a leading manufacturing business based in the Leighton Buzzard area on a full time permanent basis.
**The Lab Technician will be required to do the following;**:

- Assists team members by preparing laboratory tests using correct equipment, materials, and approved processes.
- Assists with compiling, analysing, and documenting results.
- Responsible for capturing test data
- Responsible for the cleanliness and day to day maintenance of the laboratory area
- Responsible for maintaining of the Laboratory Inventory Database
- Responsible for the in-house calibration of all the equipment within the laboratory and maintenance of external calibration schedules and evaluation of results.
- Assists the Laboratory Manager with business continuous improvement projects as required.
- Supports the Laboratory Manager with the maintenance of the ISO17025 accreditation
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the ISO17025
- Supporting role in relevant audits

**The Lab Technician will be required to have the following;**:

- Ideally 1+ year’s job experience in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory environment
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software packages.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes.
- Ability to follow procedures and methods and work well on a self-directed team.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Knowledge of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) advantageous but not essential.
- Degree in engineering/science/chemistry beneficial
