Office Cleaner

**We have a new opportunity for a part-time Cleaner to join our growing Facilities Team at Pavers, based in our York Head Office/Distribution Centre, at Northminster Business Park.**

**The role is offered as a 20 hours over 5 day per week permanent contract, with hours worked across Monday to Friday. Shifts will be 4 hours and can either be set mornings or set afternoons, dependant on the preference of the successful colleague, but will need to fall between the hours of 7am and 8pm.**

You’ll work with two other cleaning colleagues to cover all cleaning responsibilities across our new Head Office building and existing Offices & Distribution/Warehouse facilities at Northminster Business Park. You’ll cover all communal facilities, ensuring they are in tip top shape on a daily basis If you love cleaning, have a friendly nature, and want to be part of a growing York family run business, this could be the opportunity for you.

**Want to see a snapshot of your duties?**
- Cleaning of office and warehouse spaces
- Ensuring levels of cleanliness are maintained at all times
- Ensuring cleaning supply levels are maintained at all times.
- Reporting of any issues within areas of responsibilities
- Dust, damp wipe or wash walls, skirting boards, hand rails, ledges, window sills, radiators, lifts, doors and frames
- Sweeping/Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
- Hovering of carpeted areas
- Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
- Replenish consumable items e.g. soap, toilet rolls, paper towels
- Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks
- Clean communal kitchen areas
- Weekly desk cleaning as required

**What we are looking for in a Cleaner**:

- Previous office/commercial - based cleaning experience
- Friendly and positive persona
- A team player who is reliable
- A ‘can do’ attitude
- Able to follow a schedule and work to deadlines

The Pavers story began in York in 1971 when Catherine Paver took out a £200 bank loan (for a sofa she told them) to fund her new business. She had big dreams of changing the world of footwear and a passion to provide comfortable and stylish shoes for all.

Starting small, she sold shoes at village halls and homeware parties before opening the first Pavers shop in Scarborough in 1981, when Catherine’s three sons joined the business. One of her sons, Stuart, ran the business as Managing Director for over 40 years, joined by his son Jason in 2016. As of September 2023, Jason Paver is now the Managing Director of Pavers Ltd, with Stuart Paver moving to Chairman, taking the company into the 3rd generation of family run leadership.
