**Job Role**

Experienced Operators and Steersmen who have:

- at least 2 years relevant experience as a Steersman / Operator
- their NVQ Level 2 in Road Building - Pavement Marking (Machine Operations)
- knowledge of and experience with Somerford Mulit-Mark equipment.
- a full, valid UK driving licence
- the right to work in the UK
- the ability to commute to and from our depot in their own transport.
- a HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
- the ability to work independently and within a team
- the flexibility to work outside of normal working hours, and is able to work away from home/overnight if required

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Check performance of the numerous components of various marking equipment including air compressor, auxiliary engines, pumps, heaters, hydraulic systems, paint/thermoplastic/air/water and hydraulic lines; troubleshoot equipment failures and report unresolved problems to assigned staff.
- Read interpret and follow construction drawings and specifications as required to lay out unmarked various pavement markings.
- Operate and maintain thermal lances for the removal of thermoplastic road markings.
- Operate and assist in the operation of vehicles, trailers, and equipment, to include backup driving operations.
- Perform manual labour, including the use of hand tools and operating various equipment; drive utility trucks daily; load and unload equipment supplies and materials.
- Assist in the installation and removal of traffic control operations.
- Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures.
