Manchester, United Kingdom Damar Training Full time

Here at Damar Training we offer exciting and rewarding career opportunities. We have a vision of helping apprentices and their employers reach their potential, and this extends to our colleagues.

Damar is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students and expects all staff to share this commitment.

**Advisory Board Members**

Damar Training is a leading independent apprenticeship training provider, working nationally. We’re on a mission to use apprenticeships to create real, long-term value for individuals and organisations.

Our apprentices develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours that power organisations of all sizes. They:

- Manage and lead teams and projects
- Provide professional support services
- Support internal and external customers
- Ensure the smooth running of organisational processes.

We are even more impactful when we work in partnership with employers and industry specialists. This is why we are recruiting an advisory board of sector experts who share our belief in the power of apprenticeships. Each member will have current or recent senior level expertise in one or more of our core vocational areas and/or industry sectors, for example:

- Public sector (probably local government or healthcare)
- Legal services
- Accountancy (especially in-house)
- Management
- Customer service or travel
- Regulatory compliance/data protection

As an advisory board member, your role is likely to include:

- Linking with our curriculum and business development teams to help us align our programmes to sector needs
- Advocating in your network/sector for apprenticeships
- Being a critical friend - helping us to ensure that our self-assessment of your specialist area is accurate and that we are focusing on the right development priorities.

**Commitment**

Flexible, but expected to be between six and ten days a year.

**Term**

This is a self-employed position, with an initial term of 12 months, but our hope is that advisory board members will remain in post for two to three years.

**Remuneration**

A fee of £500, paid on a day rate basis, plus travel expenses in line with our expenses policy.
