**What you’ll be doing**:

- Consulting with major programmes and IT projects to ensure they comply with information security policies
- Monitoring of information security controls in the supply chain against government policy and contractual obligations to ensure their effective operation
- Providing information security advice and guidance to colleagues and partners
- Investigating contraventions of information security policies, providing recommendations on resolution and future preventative and improvement actions to the Head of Information Security
- Communicating information security aspects to the business, partners and suppliers, and for the provision of authoritative security advice at all levels of the enterprise
- Producing and managing sub-contract Security Aspects Letters
- Developing and maintaining appropriate Information Security Processes
- Audit and assurance activities to enforce security compliance

**Your skills and experiences**:
**Essential**:

- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to take a systematic approach to analyse and investigate security issues and to develop solutions or improvements
- Experience of the implementation or operation of security policies
- Cyber security Experience
- Excellent communication skills are essential for this role

**Desirable**:

- Cyber Security Qualification
- Lead Auditor Qualification

**The IM&T team**:
You will be a vital member of this team, playing a key role in the delivery of IM&T solutions. As an Information Security - Supplier Security Assurance Practitioner, working in supplier security assurance you will be engaged in the business supplier lifecycle, undertaking business risk analysis, audit and assurance activities and compliance enforcement.

As an Information Security - Supplier Security Assurance Practitioner in this area you will be liaising with customers and partners across the business as well as traveling to various supplier sites across the UK. This is a great opportunity to get exposure across the business working with a variety of stakeholders and being able to influence the security aspects of all future submarine products.
