JOB: Senior Criminal Solicitor
LOCATION: Manchester
PQE: 5+ PQE
SALARY: Up to £50,000 (£DOE)
THE ROLE:
The successful Senior Criminal Solicitor will undertake fee earning work on behalf of clients in the field of criminal law and represent them both in court and at the police station. To work in accordance with the office manual and always promote the firm inall areas. The appointed Senior Criminal Solicitor will act as an advocate in court on a wide variety of cases, mainly motoring defence cases as the firm specialise in this area. You will prepare cases for Crown Court and represent clients at police stations.The firm use the case management system Proclaim, so prior experience of this is desirable.
EXPERIENCE:
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors that have at least 5 years PQE and are either looking to take a step up in the career ladder with supervision responsibilities, or a current Senior Solicitor looking for a progressive and forward-thinkingfirm. The appointed Senior Solicitor will have a sound knowledge of Criminal law and be able to undertake appropriate continuing of education to update and retain that knowledge. Higher Rights of Audience would be desirable, and it is essential that you haveexperience of motoring defence cases. You will need excellent management, communication and organisational skills, proficiency in IT and have a polite and patient manner.
