Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing various wooden structures and components. This is a hands-on role that requires proficiency in joinery techniques and the ability to work with power tools and other equipment.
**Duties**:
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components according to specifications
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure proper installation of components
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work on various projects including masonry, roofing, painting, and electrical tasks as required
- Lift heavy materials and use appropriate lifting techniques to prevent injury
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Joiner or similar role
- Proficiency in joinery techniques and the use of power tools
- Proficiency in the operation of spindle moulder, panel saw, thicknesser
- Strong knowledge of woodworking materials and their properties
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Contract length: 3 months
Pay: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week

- Joinery: 1 year (preferred)
- Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CSCS (preferred)
