**The company**

A growing business services company is recruiting a Financial Controller for this newly created role. A £6m turnover business which is scheduled to grow by 15% this year is recruiting a Financial Controller to grow and develop a small finance team, reporting to the Owner / Managing Director.

**The role**

Reporting to a passionate and team-orientated owner this is a great role to join the senior leadership team of an SME business. They are looking for a Qualified Accountant who is looking to progress with them to a Finance Director role within the next 18 - 24 months.

In this position, you will:

- Providing strategic and financial guidance to the senior leadership team.
- Produce year-end accounts.
- Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for the business.
- Ensure that all the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
- Monthly spend reviews, booking accruals and prepayments.
- Ongoing cash flow analysis with projections.
- Oversee the monthly payroll processes.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Driving accuracy in cash flow forecasting.
- Ensuring a robust, defendable, and understood balance sheet.
- Delivery and driving improvements in KPIs/development of reporting mechanisms.
- Attend management meetings and be the first point of contact for the finance department.

**The person**
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Possess strong communications skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels across the business and non-financial employees.
- Have excellent management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
