**The Person - **_Experience_
The person commanding the advertised salary will possess the following experience:

- Intimate knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Similarly intimate knowledge of Sage Payroll
- Working in an ecosystem which utilises Sage and Xero in concert
- General bookkeeping
- Preparing P11Ds in concert with accountants

**The Person** _- Character Traits_
The person commanding the advertised salary will demonstrate the following character traits:

- You forward plan everything and could probably estimate how the changing energy price cap would affect your bills before it came into effect.

- You’re a spoiler; your friend’s ‘genius’ business idea has a major flaw, and you can quickly identify it and suggest potential solutions.
- When a way of working could be improved or a saving could be made, you bring your ideas to the table with a workable, evidence-based plan of action.

**The Role**
The role is part-time, 20 hours per week with planned hours of 10am-2pm Monday to Friday, though these are flexible to suit you.

Your responsibilities look like this:

- Management accounting in Xero
- Monthly payroll runs in Sage50 and associated wage journals in Xero
- Posting bills and invoices to our nominal ledger in Xero
- Credit control
- Supplier payments
- Collaborating with accountants to determine tax liabilities (P11D, Corporation Tax etc.)
- Profitability and cash forecasting in Xero
- Continuously improving the company’s finance operations; making positive change happen

You will also be trained in our basic administrative processes for the purposes of providing holiday over in busy periods.
