**Role Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer**

**Salary: £50,000 - £55,000**

**Location: Hybrid - Remote/Site Visits (Roughly Once a Month)**

This is a fantastic opportunity for an outgoing Senior Infrastructure Engineer who wants to go into Infrastructure project management, mostly working from home with the occasional site visit. **You must be able to undertake and gain Security Clearance.**

**The Role**

The client is looking for an excellent Senior Infrastructure Engineer, who has some experience with infrastructure project management. Reporting to the Infrastructure Service Manager and working alongside both national and international IT teams to providehigh-standard infrastructure support. You will cover both BAU and Project work within a constantly evolving environment, covering ticket queries; system health checks and maintenance; patch management, alongside thorough documentation management. Previousprojects include customer onboarding, data centre migrations and technology extractions. Furthermore, you will be overseeing the design and project management of some infrastructure projects.

You will be required to travel to various sites around the UK, covering Manchester to London, in a roughly once-a-month site visit. How often you visit sites is depending on the intensity of a project, going less/more often when required, with travel expensescovered.

**Experience**

For this position, we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who has a strong Infrastructure BAU and Project experience of 7+ years. **You must be able to undertake and gain Security Clearance.** Other experiences/qualities that would be beneficial in this position include:

- Some experience with Infrastructure project management
- Networking
- Management and Deployment of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IDS/IPS and Wireless Access Points.
- Experience with Fortigate, Cisco, Juniper or equivalent firewall technology
- Interaction with Enterprise Operating Systems (Windows and Linux)
- Good knowledge of physical data centre solutions (cabling, racking, security and DCIM).
- Experience with Cyber Security Tools
- g. Splunk, Nessus, Wazuh, Check_MK
- Scripting and Automation Technology understanding beneficial, but not necessary
- g. Powershell, Ansible, VisualCron
