Marketing Officer

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Black Country Innovative Manufacturing Organisation (BCIMO) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and the driving force behind a new state-of-the-art research and development facility based in Dudley in the West Midlands.

This £32m multi-purpose centre, situated at the heart of the Black Country, offers a host of unique facilities including a Rail Development and Test Site, Engineering Laboratories, Serviced Offices and an Events Suite.

BCIMO’s role is to work with organisations large and small - innovators, academia, policy makers and government departments - to deliver projects that will help shape and accelerate future industries, with four interdependent areas of activity focused on the development of:
1. Innovative / low-cost _technologies_ for the whole of the rail sector as well as other new and emerging markets.

2. Manufacturing _supply chains_, here in the UK, and specifically in the Black Country / wider West Midlands.

3. Skilled _workforces_ to manufacture, implement and operate these technologies, again in the Black Country / wider West Midlands.

4. New and emerging _markets_, both in the UK and overseas.

BCIMO is in its early stages, but we have huge ambitions and lots of regional and national support, and we’ve been extremely successful in winning business that we now need to deliver. And we want to recruit exceptional people to come on this journey with us.

Right now we are looking for a Marketing Officer of exceptional calibre to join the BCIMO team to help promote a wide range of innovative SME development activities. This role will play a key part in helping build a West Midlands SME community through working with innovative SMEs to deliver engaging innovation programmes, developing new propositions that challenge the market and creating a community of SMEs across our core sectors that drive innovation.

We are looking for individuals who are pro-active and highly motivated with a proven track-record of delivering success and the ability to get things done working both independently and within a team.

**DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Key duties and responsibilities will include working alongside the BCIMO internal team, external project partners and other external organisations to:
1. Undertake market research / prospecting of target SME market segments.

3. Develop content in line with these dissemination plans across the aforementioned range of channels.

4. Support the planning and delivery of events, including demonstration days on site.

5. Monitor the performance of campaigns via relevant analytics and presenting the information in a suitable dashboard format.

6. Ensure that all enquiries received are logged on the BCIMO CRM system and followed up accordingly.

7. Develop post-intervention case studies as appropriate.

You may also be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks commensurate with this role and/or within your capability to enable the BCIMO to realise its strategic objectives.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE / SKILLS**

Experience in a marketing role

Planning, organisation and time management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines

Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams including at a senior level

Good planning and organisation skills

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
