**Senior Bid Writer - Manchester - Permanent**

We are currently looking for a Senior Bid Writer to join our quickly developing Public Sector team, which has seen considerable success working across a range of clients and projects within the last 12 months. We therefore want to recruit a specialist bid writer who understands and has experience of bidding successfully under the CCS Framework and / or other relevant Central Government bidding practices.

This individual must have the following experience:

- Strong understanding of bidding practices and several years proven experience of working as part of a bid team
- A high level of understanding of the CCS Framework and how it works
- At least 5 years proven bid writing experience focussed on Central and Local Government opportunities
- A proven track record of success when bidding to Central Government
- A high level of knowledge when it comes to the themes and processes required to be successful when tendering to Central Government
- A track record of working with senior individuals to craft well written, winning proposals
- An ability to challenge senior stakeholders and drive solution design
- A high level of knowledge in relation to what makes a winning proposal and successful bid process
- Strong project management skills
- An understanding of the legal industry is desirable but not a prerequisite.

**Main Duties**:
**Writing winning bid responses to the CCS Central Government Legal Framework.**
- Planning and managing the bid from outset to closure. Proactive project management of the complete tender process, including strategy, design, drafting, review and production.
- Qualifying and quantifying all opportunities to understand cost effective tendering and offer an informed bid/no bid decision.
- Ensure consistent quality of approach is implemented on a national basis, and that bid strategy is applied according to formal bid process protocol.
- Develop themes and brainstorm best visual representation of proposals and presentations to secure bid wins.
- To have strong awareness of the issues faced by Central Government and individual Central Government Departments and an ability to communicate these issues and share learning across peers.
- Develop and share innovations that raise the game in DWFs approach to bids.
- To work proactively with DWF Central Services teams e.g. Finance, HR etc; to ensure an integrated approach is applied to all tender opportunities.
- To form part of the ongoing CCS Account Team and meet with client contacts to assess and review firm wide pipeline opportunities.
- Proactively engage with individuals across the firm and the CCS Account Team to drive engagement on bids and ensure everyone is inputting to bid outcomes effectively.
- Contribute to ensuring effective and consistent decision making in progressing (or not) relevant bid opportunities.
- Overseeing overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary.
- Collating and analysing bid feedback to share learnings with the firm and drive continuous improvement.
