?This is a Field role which is home based. If you are not at client sites assisting with project work and onsite support, you would be working remotely supporting the service desk.? ?We are looking for someone with MSP experience ? We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer to join a progressive, successful and growing Technology Services company. The company delivers a variety of outsourced, managed and project services across a wide range of clients in the SMB/SME marketplace as well as some public sector and third sector organisations. They are looking for highly motivated, experienced IT Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The role requires a flexible attitude to working hours and mobility. The company is employee owned and as such you will reap the rewards of the commitment and contribution you will bring to the team. - You must be able to communicate effectively (both face-to-face, over the phone and in written English). - Have sound time management skills. - Committed and flexible team player and relish success. - You should be able to build rapport with clients and colleagues. - Even though you will have a genuine love of technology, the ability to convey technical work in "plain English" rather than geek-speak is essential. - You should have an analytical mind, an ability to troubleshoot effectively and a willingness to escalate or consult with others, recognising when a problem needs to be escalated or addressed from a different angle. We are looking for someone who has demonstrable installation and troubleshooting experience in: - Server and PC hardware installation - Fujitsu and/or Dell Hardware - Windows technologies - Active Directory and Terminal Services - Thin client hardware - Windows based thin clients, ideally Axel based equipment - Network hardware - switches, routers and printers - VPN and WAN technologies - Installation and configuration of backup software - Excellent documentation skills - Desirable Skills - Office 365 migrations/deployments - Basic network cabling repair skills (termination of network points and testing.
