**About the Role**

We would love you to join our team as we embark on accreditation to 'The Curiosity Approach', promoting awe and wonder in early childhood. This is a unique style of learning for children to be engaged in the joy of DOING rather than the end result.

Duties include:

- To undertake a developmental programme leading to an Early Years Qualification as part of an apprenticeship which is achieved within the given timescale
- To actively participate in your own development plan working through the qualification with the qualification provider and with the nursery setting too
- To undertake induction training in the nursery with a named mentor
- To keep your mentor informed of your progress and to raise any concerns or issues with them
- To support the nursery staff to observe, plan and maintain accurate children’s records
- To develop a sound understanding of Safeguarding Policies
- Undertake a shared responsibility for the care of children, health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.

Angels At Play are a small group of three privately owned nurseries in Ware and Hoddesdon. Established in 1993, we offer full day care for children from 3 months to 5 years in a happy and secure environment. Our four fabulous sites are located at: Suckling’s Yard, Ware, Park Road, Ware, and Optima Business Park, Hoddesdon.

Each of our nurseries follows our simple ethos — that children should be allowed to be children and the adults who look after them should believe that too. Desired qualifications:

- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths is preferable.

**About the Training**

Over the course of 15 - 18 months (dependent upon the level of course an apprentice is being enrolled onto), you will study units such as health & safety in a childcare setting, holistic child development, safeguarding in a childcare setting, child development, communication with children, purposeful play and educational programmes, supporting children with special educational needs, collaborative working in early years childcare, wellbeing principles for children and at higher levels, child protection, data, supporting key life transitions and behaviour management (these modules may differ).

**Additional Information**

Location: Hoddesdon, EN11

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week as a minimum (shifts TBC)

Wage: £168.35 per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: From £4.81 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
