**We do have 2 positions for night shifts, 22 hours per week and 33 hours per week**

- Care Home based in Washington area, NE37

**The home**:
**Set in Donwell Village, the e Care Home offers residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care. Taking care of the total well-being of residents and set in a quiet suburb of Washington, this Nursing Home has been renovated to refresh the home and provide comfortable surroundings.**

**Responsabilities include**:

- Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living
- Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual
- Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity
- Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed
- Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre
- Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required
- Answer the door and telephone appropriately
- Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly
- Report on well-being of Residents
- Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc

**Requirements for the role**
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Team player
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group

Pay: From £11.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gateshead, Tyne and Wear: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
