**Marina Administrator / Senior Lock Keeper**

**Job Overview**
To help us deliver exceptional service we are seeking to recruit a Marina Administrator to assist with marina operations. You will be passionate about providing the best possible levels of customer service and will put the safety and the needs of the customer first every time. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience, exceeding expectations daily.

Work hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional need for overtime and weekend work.

**The role will include but not limited to**:
dealing with customers at reception. Taking payments.
- Assisting in and taking the lead on aspects of the marina’s organisation.
- Liaising with customers and other stakeholders.
- Excellent administration and finance skills, with a focus on detail, including the issuing

of invoices through our accounting system.
- Ensuring the telephone is answered in the correct and timely manner.
- To ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with both promptly and efficiently.
- Locking boats in and out of the marina through our lock gates.
- Overseeing the berthing allocations of vessels.
- Assisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services
- Maintaining the security of the site
- Carry out all duties in line with Company policies, particularly focused on compliance

with H&S and Customer Service standards

**The key requirements for this role are but not limited to**:

- Self-motivated, excellent organisational skills and able to work without supervision.
- Previous experience in a customer service environment (in a leisure/marina/hospitality industry is an advantage).
- Confident use of IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and the Xero accounting system.
- Excellent written English and the ability to make manual berthing calculations.
- VHF License (not essential but an advantage)
- Certification in **First Aid**, **CPR**, and **marine safety procedures**.
- Knowledge of environmental safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
- Good practical boating skills/qualifications (not essential but an advantage)
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent

**Degree/Diploma**: A degree or diploma in **Maritime Studies**, **Business Management**, **Hospitality**, **Marine Engineering**, or a related field is often would be an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
