My client a well established manufacturing and distribution company based in Darwen is looking for a Sales Estimator to join their growing office.

The primary role of the Sales Estimator is to maintain and develop customer relationships, cross and upselling the company’s full product range whilst keeping the best interests of the client in mind. The post holder will be expected to receive enquiries, prepare detailed, and accurate quotes, promoting additional services and goods that the company have on offer. The Sales Estimator will also act as the customer account and relationship manager for the orders they obtain from the point of providing the quote, through to successful completion of the job.

The role will be mainly office based, working closely with the sales team, production teams, logistics and others. It will be very proactive with emphasis on developing new business, both additional sales to existing customers and researching and developing new accounts.

Occasional travel and overnight stays may be necessary in the course of your duties.

The role holder is expected to uphold the company’s values and behaviours and have an active involvement to help improve the company achieve its mission and strategy.

**Key responsibilities and duties**:

- Prepare and provide detailed and accurate quotations to meet the customer’s requirements.
- Follow up live quotations.
- Dealing with questions, complaints and providing conflict resolution in a professional manner.
- Liaising with other departments, including Production, Logistics and Finance, to support with the successful completion of all projects.
- Checking and organising paperwork to ensure handovers of orders are of excellent quality, complete, and correct with all information required for manufacturing.
- Develop sales of our full range of products to the construction industry.
- Work to achieve agreed targets.
- Work closely with business managers to identify and secure key accounts, agree strategies, and maintain close working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Communicate on a regular basis with colleagues and record reports on our CRM system once developed.
- Work closely with the department head to analyse sales and performance against targets and develop plans to address deficiencies and take full advantage of opportunities.
- Closely monitor other reports, such as the quotation log and report on feedback received.
- Have a good attention to detail to ensure that the customer’s expectations are met when quoting, processing orders, and aftersales care.
- Have excellent customer service skills and ability to develop professional relationships.
- Occasional face-to-face visits to see customers/key accounts.
- Eagerness to continuingly improve and learn.

- Ability to estimate projects from concept to completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal departments including Sales, Production, and Logistics.
- A friendly, outgoing nature - enjoying talking to customers on the phone is essential.
- Have the drive to meet and exceed all company targets and expectations.
- Highly organised with an attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Professional in your approach to dealing with and resolving issues in a professional, efficient, and positive way.
- Strong organisational or administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- High level of numeracy & literacy skills.
- IT literate with a comprehensive understanding of Windows based programmes to include Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact & work effectively with all employees and external suppliers/customers.
- Ability to analyse information, develop options and solutions and make recommendations.
- Identify problems and issues and satisfactorily deal with them.
- Good Timekeeping.
- Appreciation of confidentiality and discretion.

**General**:

- Every year undertake a minimum of 2 courses for self-development to gain more skills and knowledge to help progress yourself the company.
- All enquiries should be handled promptly and accurately.
- Be available for any meetings.
