**SENIOR VETERINARY SURGEON**
**Liverpool**

If you’re looking for an opportunity to progress your career and make gold-standard vet care accessible to all, then you’re in the right place
Here at The Vet, we understand that professional development, culture and facilities are at the forefront of your job seeking. Couple this with a good work/life balance, a strong team environment and a chance to truly develop in your career, and you have the perfect mix.We continually put the best possible investment in our people and our clinics to ensure you receive the support and space you need to become the vet you’ve always wanted to be.
For our staff, it’s good to know that you are rostered into a 4 day working week plus 1:4 weekends. This averages out to 37.5 hours p/w over a 4 week period.
We offer flexible shifts or part-time working hours tailored to you, because we don’t believe your personal life should be compromised to do the job you love. We work towards a healthy work/life balance.
Our purpose-built clinics are some of the best around. The space and facilities here will let you tackle a diverse caseload, building your clinical skills and helping more animals and their humans enjoy life together. After all, isn’t that why you became a vet?
You will have everything you need to deliver a wide range of care under one roof. Each centre has its own separate dental, x-ray, lab and ultrasound suites. Each also has least two operating theatres, six consulting rooms and an open, spacious prep area, as well as separate dog and cat recovery wards and walk-in isolation. We provide daily clinical rounds which we know is not an industry standard.
We also have a cosy and comfortable staff room where you can relax during breaks and the team enjoys a free lunch together each Friday.
To ensure you thrive, our CPD support will continue to consolidate and strengthen your learning to achieve gold standard. We invest in our people and fully fund further diplomas and certificates as well as covering registration and insurance fees.
Working at The Vet offers you the chance to work in a values-led culture that is committed to delivering accessible top-notch care. You’ll be part of a supportive team that encourages you to voice your own ideas and make them happen. There are no boundaries here and we encourage collaboration between our clinics and across the business.
Along with all of this, we’ll offer you a highly competitive salary, a generous pension, and holiday leave above the industry norm. We also reward those who learn, giving salary boosts to those taking on further diplomas and certificates.
We believe that people thrive when they’re given support to focus on what matters to them.
We’re keen to hear from experienced vets and those new to the profession - and anyone in between If you are also ready to lead a large team or feel it’s time to step up into a senior/leadership role, we would be happy to hear from you
If the culture we have created is what you are looking for, please get in touch today.
