**This is the job** You will be an integral member of the Data Change delivery team, working closely with the business and other areas of IT. You will create data solution designs which can be iteratively developed in an Agile framework. The designs will represent businessand data requirements for small and large change relating to AA data platforms. The work you do will ensure solutions are in accordance to thearchitecture and design principles and guidelines, delivered and tested generating positive business value.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Work closely with Analysts and Architects to deliver low and high level designs based upon business requirements
- Analyse data sets to identify modelling logic and key attributes required for low-level designs
- Create and maintain appropriate low-level designs along with Source-to-target mapping (STTM) ensuring appropriate documentation is created and updated
- Develop and update Physical Data Models (PDMS)
- Perform Data Analyst’s responsibilities when required
- Lead handover sessions to developers and testers
- Participate in estimation of effort required to create low-level design documentation for each discrete piece of work
- Provide technical and business knowledge support to Business Analysts to elaborate user stories and acceptance criteria where required
- Provide input into Data Tower Design Authority as requested
- Engage with the business and the Product Owner(s) to understand business requirements and develop low-level design documentation for all impacted components in a solution

**What do I need?**:

- Working knowledge of Cloud based data and analytics solutions potentially using Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Informatica and PowerBI
- Hands-on SQL/Python experience for the purposes of interrogating data
- Solid experience with data warehouse and business intelligence
- Previous experience as Data Designer working independently within a data and analytics solution to deliver low level ETL design and physical data models
- Excellent knowledge of Data Warehousing Design Methodologies must have Kimball dimensional models
- Experience in bringing critical insights and suggestions for continual improvement into process and solution design
- Ability to understand and relay complex data-related issues
- Proven experience in Data Modelling tools such as ER Studio
- Working knowledge of ETL technology and tools, such as Databricks
- Working knowledge of data quality, cleanse and standardisation methods, techniques and tools
- Experience in working as part of data delivery teams using multiple delivery methodologies, incl. Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall
- Proven problem-solving skills to identify the root cause of defects/issues and translate business requirements into technical designs
