Our local authority client, based in the South West of England are looking to appoint an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to enforce, maintain and improve standards within the private rented sector on behalf of the Authority. You will also be carrying out HHSRS assessments and determining the most appropriate course of action. Risk assessments are to be done and inspection of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) with partner agencies where appropriate and licensing of HMOs in accordance with the current licensing scheme.

This role requires you to hold the HHSRS certificate and have at least 1 year’s experience within this field in a local authority setting. It is essential that you have specialist knowledge in housing legislation including houses in multiple occupation.

The contract is for 3 months and pay rates can be submitted at your expected hourly rate. Market rates start at £35 per hour Umbrella so we are more than happy to make this suggestion to the client.
