We have a great opportunity for **Residential Children's Workers** to join the lovely team here in **Wigan.**

This role is perfect for individuals that hold a genuine passion for supporting and improving the lives of young people. It's an extremely rewarding role and you'd be joining a team of likeminded staff that put the care of the young people at the heart of everything they do. You will be supporting up to **3 Young individuals.**

**The role**:

- Ensure you provide a warm, supportive and encouraging environment for young individuals to thrive in, ensuring it remains safe and secure.
- Encourage the young people to realise their own potential with support and guidance
- To develop mechanisms whereby young people are fully participative in their care and educational programmes
- Develop effective professional relationships with the young people
- To provide for the educational needs of young people through a combination of attendance at mainstream, or a specialised provision within the local area, and individual tuition determined by a Personal Education Plan.
- To realistically prepare young people to integrate into a family environment, or further residential provision, and/or to equip them with the practical and emotional skills for successful independent living

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children/young people
- NVQ3 in Health and Social care/Children and Young people (desirable)
- At least 1 years experience working in a Residential Childcare Setting (essential)
- Previous experience working with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Learning, Physical Disabilities and complex needs (preferred)
- Driving Licence (Essential)
