**Care Support Worker**
**Job Type(s)**:Full and part time positions available
**Salary**:£10.00 rising to £11.00 per hour after probationary period

We currently have opportunities for both full and part-time Care and Support Workers or Care Professionals in Wells, Shepton Mallet and the surrounding areas. We have availability between 7am-2pm, 4pm-10pm, and alternate weekends.

**Key Responsibilities of a Care Support Worker**:

- Getting to know your clients, and their interests and needs
- Giving emotional and practical support to your clients
- Assisting with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing) domestic household tasks and food preparation.
- Assisting with medication, use of mobility aids and personal equipment where required.
- To report to the registered manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.
- To encourage and enable our clients to remain as independent as possible whilst acting in their best interests and protecting and safeguarding their wellbeing.
- Breaking the ice with a new client and putting a smile on their face
- Calming down an anxious client who may not recognise their surroundings
- Clearly record all care notes on a handheld device after each visit.
