RSR Housing are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Birmingham for a Benefits & Council Tax Administrator.

This is a full time, office based, permanent role and offers a salary of £22,500 - £23,500 per annum.

**Main Duties**:

- Ensure the efficient allocation and payments of housing benefits and council tax contributions to providers monthly. They will handle all queries relating to housing benefits and council tax.
- Responsible for setting and achieving high performance standards across all aspects of housing benefits, council tax and provider payments.
- Assist with capture of Electronic daily remittances into remittance master.
- Allocate remittance numbers according to bank remittances.
- Follow up on any discrepancies in remittances with local council.
- Capture Council tax data in the housing management system for new and existing properties.
- Handle all rent reports queries in a fair and timeous manner.
- Answer all queries timeously from providers and residents
- Follow up and resolve enquiries related to Council Tax Liability orders and Enforcement orders.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Experience of processing housing benefit/council tax reduction claims.
- Experience of working towards targets and deadlines.
- Good numeracy and IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office 365 and excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Good standard of education - minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade C or above.
- Experience of working in customer facing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
