**Role Purpose**:
Reporting into the Area Leader follow the daily production plan loading the cooking vessel with the raw materials at the relevant stages throughout the cook. Throughout the process check the quality of the raw materials, reporting any issues to the Quality team. Ensure the relevant end of cook quality tests are carried out, reporting anything out of specification to the Area Leader and Quality team. This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, problem solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Carry out pre-start checks for the cooking vessel.
- Collect the correct powder and herb packs for the recipe and the relevant totes for the cook from the WIP chill area.
- Following the recipe, load the totes into the vessel at the required step.
- At the end of the cook, complete the required quality checks. If product is out of specification report to Area Leader and Quality team.
- Liaise with the High Risk area on the transfer of finished product.
- Follow the CIP matrix to start the CIP cleaning process.
**Knowledge Skills & Experience**:
Ideally you will hold Level 2 food safety and health & safety certificates. You will have good communication skills and problem solving skills and be able to use own initiative. You must have basic English and Maths skills. Knowledge of computers would be an advantage.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.70 per hour
Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week
