**About the role**
We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Waitrose Own Brand team as a Head of Quality, Regulatory & Technical.
This is an inspiring role where you will Influence and ensure expertise is applied commercially by working in an agile and cross functional way. You will set the tone, context and outcomes for the team with the voice of the customer at the heart.
We are looking for an established leader who embodies our Partnership values and Is focused in establishing brand loyalty and has an enthusiasm for our services to ensure we are offering the best customer experience.
As the Head of Quality Regulatory and Technical you will oversee the Quality and Technical management of our fabulous Waitrose own label ranges such as Waitrose Essential, Duchy and Waitrose No1 range. A vital part of your role will be to ensure our products are safe and legal and meeting the Waitrose Brand and Ethical & Sustainability standards.
You would also be accountable for Quality and Technical Supplier Strategy and through Category Technical Managers delivery within Waitrose supply base holding them to account for delivery of activities that enable customer satisfaction and KPIs.
**Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to**
Define, promote development and implement Quality, Regulatory and Technical
Strategy including technical supplier strategy to achieve outcomes aligned to Partnership Strategy.
Own communication of Quality, Regulatory and Technical strategy and processes internally and external stakeholders inc own label suppliers.
Empower and support teams to make decisions and resolve challenges.
Work within Waitrose Trading Resource Planning Process to ensure delivery of business requirements and to delight customers.
**Essential skills**
- Food Science or equivalent degree
- Extensive Industry experience across manufacturing and Supermarket Retailing
- Leadership experience
**Desirable Skills**
- Further qualification in food science / trading law
- Analytical and strategic approach with the ability to work cross functionally and influence key stakeholders
- Wide network within retail and manufacturing industry
