Plan routes for a fleet of 80 trailers including flat beds, curtains and containers

Manual route planning, with a new system being introduced in the coming months

**Client Details**

Within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector, I am working with a haulage business that is expanding their Transport Planning team in Oldbury. You will be in a team of 3 Transport Planner and work with a variety of customers across the UK.

With extensive experience and knowledge from their existing customer base, they provide transportation to some of the UK's largest high street chains, using temperature controlled vehicles, including articulated lorries to vans. They tailor a distributionpackages to suit bespoke requirements, with specific deliveries and options for product placement.

**Description**

Transport Planner - Oldbury
- Route planning for full loads
- Monitoring driver performance
- Review driver routes and plan to maximise efficiency
- Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays
- Provide the communication link between customers and drivers
- Supervising and managing driver workloads
- Managing your driver's daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours.
- Ensuring every customer receives excellent customer service

**Profile**
- Load planning experience is desirable
- Previous UK and EU planning is desirable
- Previous experience within a fast paced transport planning position
- Experience of using system based planning tools
- Strong administrative skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Competent decision making
- Good geographical knowledge

£35,000

Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday
