Since formally launching in the UK in May 2019, they have quickly established a strong and diverse portfolio of UK Aid-funded programmes, in the UK they have a team of 65 employees however are growing fast.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Senior Specialist role overview:
The EDI Senior Specialist will collaborate closely with teams across their UK Division. You will have overall responsibility and accountability for developing and implementing their UK’s EDI strategy and ensuring its integration into the fabric of theirUK’s culture, values, and business model. You will be responsible for embedding EDI thinking across corporate and programme teams, helping them to understand how EDI is considered in their work and how it can become an integral part of how they operate. Youwill play a key role in developing their social value approach. Reporting directly to a UK Division’s Director, you will also have regular reporting responsibilities to the Senior Leadership Team, and work in collaboration with both their Strategy and EngagementTeam and Human Resources Team. In addition, you will also:

- Create and implement annual EDI work plans, longer-term planning, and needs-based strategic initiatives
- Oversee the EDI Working Group to take forward key initiatives within their EDI work plan
- Use participatory approaches to actively engage staff in developing and implementing the EDI strategy
- Contribute to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace; promote a work environment that is respectful and values their differences
- Establish and manage a strong evidence-based approach that adapts, and pivots based on the data and learning
- Monitor and report on EDI results, both internally and externally, as required
- Develop relationships with partner EDI focal points across their supply chain and across the international development sector in the UK to ensure they are following and contributing to best practices; represent UK business line externally on EDI areas toensure appropriate benchmarking, collaboration, and coordination
- Develop and deliver training, awareness building, and other events for internal and external audiences
- Work with others in them to develop a robust social value approach and support its rollout
- Mentor and develop staff; provide performance feedback and the time and opportunity to grow professionally

Key skills and experience required:

- Proven experience in corporate equity, diversity, & inclusion, business management, or human resources (or another related field), including extensive experience in designing and implementing EDI programmes and activities
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices and trends in equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Practical experience of designing and/or implementing EDI strategies
- Commitment to a proactive approach to diversity and inclusion and to own personal development in this area
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a culturally diverse environment
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Familiarity with participatory methods to engage staff in a hybrid work environment
- Experience of living or conducting work internationally is preferred
- English proficiency required; foreign language skills would be advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

**Job Type**: 12-month Fixed term contract (with view of going permanent), Part-time, around 20-30 hours per week for discussion
