This Wolverhampton-based business manufactures a range of metal products, and are looking for a graduate to join their team.

The business has a £1M automated line and £1M machine, located in a fairly new 40,000 sqr ft facility. The company expects growth through investment in equipment and through the implementation of world class operating systems.

They are looking to bring in a more professional and process driven approach to the running of the lines. The production staff are good workers, but perhaps have needed better processes and management in the past
- so this will be your opportunity to makea difference.

You will be bringing best practice on set-ups, spares, maintenance, house-keeping, training, etc. Taking an analytical and logical approach, you will be identifying issues or areas for improvement, coming up with the solution, and communicating it to thestaff, then making sure that is is implemented.

An example may be looking at how items are stored and labelled, to make sure that it is as efficient as possible.

With the support of Operations Manager and MD this is a great opportunity for you to make a big impact through change - mostly change in mind-set and getting best practice to stick.

This means that resilience, drive, and perseverance are essential. You will need to have good interpersonal skills to carry the staff with you on a journey of change

You will be reporting to a forward thinking Ops Manager. There is great opportunity to make an impact in a key area of the business and to progress into the management of the business unit.
