Band 2 Catering Assistants WCH
An opportunity as arisen at North Cumbria Integrated Care based at West Cumberland Hospital in the busy Catering Department. This is for a total of 53.5 hours in the Catering Department. Various hours available as a Catering Assistant. Working between the hours of 7.30am - 7pm on a 4 week rota which includes Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
The job entails working in a busy work environment assisting with food preparation, taking temperatures, cleaning all crockery, disposing of waste, using industrial equipment, reporting faults and dealing with customer complaints. Working in the Staff Restaurant, Coffee Shop, Food Service on the wards, Main Kitchen. The successful applicant must have the ability to work alone and to work effectively as part of a team This is a large area to work in and is a physically demanding job and you will be on your feet for most of the shift and must be able to work in both hot and cold environments. The employee will also have the responsibility to follow all aspects of Food Safety, Allergen Laws and HACCP controls, this including the logging of hot and cold temperatures and that of fridges and freezers. Full flexibility is required with this role for the covering at short notice of annual leave and sickness.

**Standard Check**: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
