**Linux Systems Administrator - Web Hosting - Brentford**

A great opportunity for a Linux Systems Administrator to join a premium boutique IT hosting company near Brentford and join a team of 4 infrastructure engineers. This is a newly created role due to our client growing considerably during these strange times.

I have been working with this organisation for many years and they are a great bunch of people, with a good culture and great technology.

This is a small organisation of 20 employees with a large infrastructure (200+ Linux Servers) on which hundreds of enterprise companies host their transnational websites.

Skills required / our client's technical environment:

- Linux Systems Administrator experience at least 1-3 years of experience
- CentOS and Ubuntu
- Physical and virtual servers (VMware, OnApp and some XenServer) - 200+ servers
- Installing, configuring, and administering Linux operating systems
- Scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and/or Bash
- Good understanding of server security issues and best practices for security software policies
- Practical knowledge of building and supporting physical server components and RAID
- Previous experience working in an environment with formally structured IT Operational processes: work request ticket management, incident management, change management, problem management
- Demonstrates a strongly detail-oriented approach to everything you do
- Can adapt to change and work well under pressure
- Ability to take on internal operational initiatives as a prime or lead
- Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal, problem solving, and documentation skills
