Or an Accounts Assistant with a strong focus on purchase ledger/accounts payable?
We are offering a fantastic career opportunity for a **Purchase Ledger Clerk** to join one of Europe’s leading manufacturing and distribution businesses.
Working within this growing and fast paced business in **Stoke on Trent** you will support the day to day running of the purchase ledger as part of a team of 3.
You will be required to provide a professional and efficient service to the finance function, whilst processing a high volume of invoices for the business and dealing with any enquiries.

**Main responsibilities of the role will include**:
- Match and enter invoices onto the in-house computer software
- Posting payments to supplier accounts and sending remittance advices
- Preparing BACS runs and cheques payments
- Reconcile discrepancies between accounts and supplier statements
- Liaise with colleagues to correct any errors or anomalies found within the purchasing process
- Compilation of month end supplier payment schedule
**Experience Required**
- Extensive experience within purchase ledger
- Outstanding numerical, written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience of debit notes and processing foreign currency invoices would be advantageous, but not required
