Digital Communications Officer

The Crichton Trust team are looking for a Digital Communications Officer, supporting the leadership team in all areas of digital marketing and communications.
The Digital Communications Officer will be responsible for ensuring our public facing materials adhere to our brand guidelines and operate across all our social media and web channels. In addition supporting aspects of printed and internal document creation and publication.
Our aim through this exciting role is to continuously develop and improve our core digital communications by creating high-quality content that engages and inspires our businesses and customers; targeting and reaching more people and using where necessary the latest tools and digital developments to support.
Working towards our strategic vision focused on achieving NetZero, improving wellbeing and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship through heritage led regeneration. The role will need to engage with many audiences and sectors.
It is important to learn from this activity so as to grow and refine messages, therefore the monitoring and understanding of the effectiveness of the digital communications is key, as it will provide information important to making wider business decisions.
**MAIN OBJECTIVES**:
1. To create engaging digital content
- To raise the profile of the Trust and the variety of activity
- To increase business engagement with our many target audiences - Business / Residential / General Public
2. To configure integrations between the Trust’s digital marketing platforms (for
example such platforms as WordPress, Mailchimp, FloDesk, CRMs, Eventbrite,
Nexadus)
3. To configure and schedule automated digital marketing workflows
4. To configure and maintain tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to track the success of
digital activity
5. To schedule and develop activity to support short and longer term sales targets
or business objectives with the senior leadership team
6. To lead on sourcing, taking, gathering and storing images, also to capture and
edit photography and videography, where required
7. Work with management, clients and colleagues to prepare and deliver design
briefs when necessary
8. Lead on providing graphics and illustrative support to the organisation
9. Proof read, copywrite and prepare materials
10. Maintain and update Company websites working alongside the website
developer
11. Such other duties as may from time to time be included in the post by the Chief
Executive Officer/COO and coming reasonably within the scope of this post
**Qualifications, Experience (essential/desirable)**
- Experience Digital Media or Visual Communication
- Have proven experience in a similar environment or qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Have proven success in producing high-quality digital marketing communications
- Be proficient in managing social media accounts and web-development projects, using tools such as a Content Management System
- Be proficient in visual design
- Have experience of managing supporter data across multiple platforms and use of integrations between digital marketing platforms
- Drive, determination and ambition to succeed
- Be articulate and well presented as expected in a customer service environment
- Excellent problem-solving and dispute resolution skills
- Ability to work under pressure and within defined deadlines
- Flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to adapt and develop, and implement new initiatives

- Experience of using websites, writing and developing content, layout and alterations (Wordpress preferred);
- Experience with SEO;
- Have previous experience of using analytics tools to establish the success of a digital communications;
- Experience and proficient at using scheduling software across social media platforms;

- Experience of using design software - Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, illustrator, InDesign, etc), Canva, Inkscape;
