Warehouse Operative (Picker and Packer)

**Job type**

Full-time

**Shifts**

Fixed shift patterns which will include some Saturday working. Working 2-3 Saturday's per month will be expected.

Overtime available

We are looking to recruit warehouse operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our distribution centre in Preston

**As one of our warehouse operatives you will**:

- Accurately and efficiently be picking, packing and dispatching store orders.
- Ensure effective stock rotation and report to the Supervisor any goods that damaged in any way
- To undertake the necessary training and any relevant refresher training in order to maintain effectiveness in your role and to carry out your role in a safe and efficient manner.
- To avoid stock damage in line with company procedures
- Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.
- Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.
- Be working within a chilled environment.

Most warehouse operatives start with us picking orders however there may also be opportunities beyond this to work in our goods in and loading operations.

**You will need**:

- To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
- To help promote and encourage the spirit of teamwork within the logistics areas and ensure the support of your colleagues
- To demonstrate all the characteristics of the client outlined in their Company Purpose - generous, warm, caring, uncompromising, bold, innovative and winning.
